Greenways for Nashville Ambassador Kick-Off: February 27
This winter, we’re kicking off our Greenways for Nashville Ambassador Program! Here at GfN, we want everyone to know about the incredible greenway system in Nashville — but there aren’t enough of us to spread the word across the city. That’s where you come in! Join the Ambassador Team, and help us inform our communities about greenways, represent GfN at fun events, and more.
Our kick-off for the GfN Ambassador Program will be on Tuesday, February 27th from 5:30-6:30 at Jackalope Brewing Company at 701 8th Ave S in Nashville — and your first beer is on us! Sign up below, and then invite your friends through our Facebook event. Huge thanks to Jackalope for making this event possible.
Weed Wrangle: February 24th and March 3rd
Every year, the Nashville Garden Club partners with organizations across the city for a day (or two!) of removing harmful, invasive plants from our green spaces. This year, we are thrilled to join in on the fun with three different Weed Wrangles! We are partnering with Richland Creek Watershed Alliance, Friends of Mill Creek Greenway, Socket: Nashville’s Sustainability Outlet, and Cumberland River Compact to host Weed Wrangles along the Richland Creek Greenway, the Mill Creek Greenway, and the Cumberland River Greenway.
So what are you waiting for? Sign up to wrangle some weeds, learn about native plants and invasive species, and to have a fun day outside!
