The Richland Creek Run XI began at 8 a.m. at the Cohn Adult Learning Center on April 1, 2017. More than 500 people registered for the event.
The full results are now available. Chris Demetra (27:44) and Birdie Hutton (32:57) led the way, respectively, for the male and female runners. Thanks to all the participants, volunteers and sponsors who made the Richland Creek Run a great success. Mark your calendars for April 7, 2018, for Richland Creek Run XII. See you there!
About the Richland Creek Run
The Richland Creek Run & Walk XI will carry participants along a certified five-mile course through sections of the Richland Creek Greenway and Sylvan Park on Saturday, April 1, 2017. Net proceeds from this event benefit Greenways for Nashville, a non-profit organization dedicated to the creation, protection, preservation, and promotion of Nashville greenways.
Your race registration includes: timing chip, long sleeved t-shirt, goodie bag, race bib, complimentary race day water and hospitality table access. Packet pick up will be at Sport Seasons (56 White Bridge Pike, Nashville, TN 37205) on Friday, March 31, from 5-7 p.m.
Time and Course
The run will begin at 8 a.m. outside of the Cohn Adult Learning Center, 4805 Park Avenue, and wind through parts of Sylvan Park before heading onto the Richland Creek Greenway and finishing back at Cohn. (See the course route.) New this year, professional timing will be provided by Start2Finish. The Walk will begin at 8:05 a.m. at the same location and follow the same course. Dogs and strollers are permitted during the race. The race will be held rain or shine. We do not issue refunds.
The Dinky DashThe Dinky Dash begins at 7:30am and is a fun run for children. The dash is a one mile, out and back course that begins at the Cohn School. It is a great way to introduce young children to a fun run atmosphere. Popsicles are provided after for the kiddos!
Awards are given in all age and gender brackets. Also at the awards celebration, everyone has the opportunity to win a door prize! We encourage everyone to stay and enjoy getting to know your fellow participants and neighbors at the awards celebration. Click here to view all award categories.
The Team Challenge
The team challenge is an opportunity to run/walk with your colleagues, friends, or family and compete against other teams to build fun, friendly rivalries! No matter the speed, teams are an easy way to encourage teamwork and a fun atmosphere among friends, family, or co-workers. One team includes a minimum and maximum of 5 people.
